GARBUTT, Martin Gustaf Allan - (1950 - 2020) - With deep regret, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Martin Gustaf Allan Garbutt on Monday, March 16, 2020.

Devoted husband of Louise Garbutt for 47 years, loving father to Marlene (Brent) Barnes and proud poppa to Alexander, Abigael, Breanne and Quinten.

Predeceased by parents Norman & Ruth Garbutt, brother Bruce (Genevieve) Garbutt, nephew Tayler Garbutt, parents in law Fidele & Marie Belliveau and brother in law Alderice Belliveau.

Martin is survived by his brothers Michael (Tina), Brian (Amanda), Robert (Carolyn), & Richard Garbutt; his sisters Kathryn (David) Linton & Karen (Thomas) Kahle, and many nieces and nephews. Martin is survived by his brother in law Fred (Marg) Belliveau and family.

Above all else, Martin was a devoted family man. Never far from the side of his loving wife Louise, they built amazing memories together: camping, swimming, fishing, scuba diving, long country drives and hikes together.

Martin took great joy in watching his daughter Marlene grow from a precocious little girl into a strong, beautiful woman with a family of her own. When she married Brent, he knew she had found a good, dependable man to have by her side. He adored his grandchildren, and spent many happy hours teaching them, and reliving his childhood through their eyes.

We will miss his kindness, generosity, mischievous spirit, his laughter and friendship; but he left us all with many wonderful memories to cherish for years to come.

In God's keeping, and welcomed home with open arms by family gone before him. Arrangements with Andrews funeral home, Brampton.
