LOMBARDI, Giovanni - (1927 - 2020) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giovanni (John) Lombardi on March 27, 2020 at the age of 93.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Donatina.
He was the loving father of Danny (Angie) and Lina (Tiziano). He will forever be cherished by his grandchildren John (Dora), Michael (Francesca) and Christina.
He will always be remembered by his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and friends and forever loved by his papperella, Winnie. His lively spirit will always resonate in our hearts.
Special thanks go out to his two live-in caregivers, Precious and Joy, whose compassionate hearts kept him well, safe and happy in his final year.
He will forever live in our hearts and may he live in eternal peace.
Donations can be made on his behalf to the Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer Care and/or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Private Family Gathering will be held on March 30th. **Due to the COVID-19 state of emergency for limited gatherings, Delmoro funeral home, Toronto will be limiting entrance to 10 family members total in the building at one time. You are most welcome to leave online condolences, as the family is appreciative of your support and is understanding given the circumstances.
Private Entombment will be held at Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Rd., Toronto. This will be a private committal prayer with immediate family present. The Cemetery will limit entrance into the mausoleum, please feel welcome to contact them at 416-675-9489.
