Kumer AudreyKUMER, Audrey Ruth (Nadler) - Comforted at home with her children by her side, Audrey, in her 87th year, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2020.

Predeceased by Milton, her beloved husband of 60 years.

Loving mother of Shawna & Michael Kamien, Howie & Andrea Kumer and Jill & Gary Stern.

Adored by her grandchildren Jonathan & Shawna, Elyse & Jeffrey, Oren, Alex, Ira and Jonah.

GG of Casey, Madeleine and Ivy.

Sister of Peter Nadler and the late Murray Nadler.

Sister-in-law of Eleanor Nadler and Helen & Ernest Singer.

Aunt, friend, and exceptional bridge player.

Audrey was born and raised in Toronto. Following her graduation from U of T in Physical & Occupational Therapy, she was introduced to Milton on a blind date. Shortly after their marriage, they settled in London, Ontario. She was the ultimate homemaker and community worker while devoted to raising 3 children.

There were wonderful friendships as families grew up together and the table was always full with delicious food, especially during the holidays. As each of her children married and moved to Toronto, there were many years of commuting when she proudly took on her new role as Grandma. She did not want to miss any event, whether it was a birthday, graduation or Bar Mitzvah.

In 2014, she and Milt moved to Toronto to be closer to their family. They quickly settled in at Amica Thornhill, and developed new friendships. Not surprising, Audrey got herself appointed to several committees. She was articulate, knowledgeable and extremely caring. A woman of valour she was determined to fight her health issues which slowed her down but never affected her razor sharp mind.

Audrey will be remembered for her intelligence, strong will, and the poems she wrote for every occasion, capturing the moment with her charm and wit. She was loved by all, and will be greatly missed.

The family encourages you to direct donations to COVID relief funds.

Burial will be private.
