TRAVLOS, Lulu - February 17, 1918 - April 11, 2020 - It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our dearest Lulu.
Beloved wife to the late Spero Travlos.
Cherished mother to Chloe (Andrew) and Olga (and the late Alec Kapnias).
Loving grandmother to Stam (Costa), Spero (Sally), Sandy (Mano), Socky (Cindy) and Irene.
Loving great grandmother to Stacey (Jamie), Leah (René), Chloe (Ryan), Alex (Sonia), Madeleine, Tania, Stephen, Jonathan, Alexandra and Katia.
Proud great great grandmother to Alyssa and Mikayla.
Born in Selukwe, Southern Rhodesia, she moved to Salisbury when she married and lived before emigrating to Canada at age 87, and soon after became a citizen of her new country.
Lulu, widowed for 55 years, was truly one of a kind; never one to complain about anything or anyone. She was always grateful and thankful for everything and had the most positive attitude always. It’s no wonder why this earth was blessed with her presence for over 102 years; an exemplary role model to all who knew her and especially to her loving family.
Sadly it was the world-wide pandemic that overcame her resilience, zest, feistiness and love of life and particularly the love she always had for her family in Zimbabwe, Australia and here in Canada. A remarkable lady loved so dearly by us all, whom will be missed tremendously, but will always remain in our hearts.
Our thanks and appreciation goes out to the staff at Markhaven Nursing Home.
