Armstrong BobARMSTRONG, Robert 'Bob' Joseph - (October 23, 1938 - April 14, 2020)

Bob passed away suddenly at Bradford Valley Long term care home on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 81 years of age.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Josephine Armstrong, parents-in-law Michael and Selena Williams. Sisters Catherine and Monica Hollohan. Brothers Tom Joe and Bill Armstrong.

On September 19, 1959 Bob married the love of his life Agnes and together they raised 6 children in Witless Bay, Newfoundland; three sons Robert (Terri), Tony (Bernice), Tim (Fidelas), and three daughters Deana (Marvin), Lori (Taso), and Sherri (Gus).

Dad loved his 13 grandchildren Jennell, Patrick, Jennifer, Zachary, Chantel, Nicole, Anthony, Sarah, Thomas, Selena, Alexis, Sophia, Nicholas (his best buddy JOE). Dad had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He was especially proud of Zachary on the water, and Patrick in the ring.

Dad attended the Alzheimer's Day Program in Aurora, and made many friends including Mary and "MOE". Dad had a love of Newfie music and loved to sit and talk about back home especially with Barry and Colleen.

Dad always made friends wherever he went and a smile that would light up a room. He always had a witty answer followed with a smile. He loved to sit outside with a coffee and watch people go by. He would raise his hand to greet everyone who passed.

Sophia says In heaven there is a table waiting for everyone who goes there. Poppy says well, that's where I'll be honey with a coffee and a pack of Jam Jams.

A very special thank you to Darlene who was the nurse Dad loved so much for making his stay at Bradford just like home. A special thank you to Trevor who helped us FaceTime Dad when we were not able to visit.

Due to current circumstances, there will be no visitation or funeral. A celebration of Dad’s life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Roadhouse and Rose funeral home, Newmarket.

A dad's love is special
A gift beyond compare
You only know the meaning
When he is no longer there.
