GAJASAN, Jovita 'Jovy' Valerio - It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Jovita on April 24, 2020, in her home at the age of 67. Surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully left this world after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is now reunited with her Creator, her daughter Cecille, her father Prudencio, and brother Roberto.
She was born to Virginia Baluyot Valerio and the late Prudencio Valerio on July 16, 1952, in Caloocan City, Philippines.
She married Rodrigo San Gabriel Gajasan on March 16, 1975 and have been together for forty-five years living in the Philippines and Canada.
Jovita is survived by her three sons: Joseph Von, Neil Brian, and John Michael Angelo. She is fondly remembered by her granddaughter Josephine Malaya. She is greatly missed by her sisters: Teresita (Robert) and Myrna (Peregrino); brothers: Benedicto (Sally), Daniel (Noemi), and Reynaldo (Betty); and by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is recognized by her supervisors and coworkers as friendly and hard-working.
Our Ma is an amazing cook and loves to eat lobsters and macaroons. She enjoys watching Hallmark movies and celebrates life milestones in Chinese buffets.
Thank you Ma/Mami/Mami-do, for loving us unconditionally and teaching us the value of education, hard work, and dedication. We will always cherish the many beautiful memories. We love you and adore you and will always miss you.
