RUBIN, Allan Aubrey - Allan Aubrey Rubin, age 81, passed away at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre on May 18, 2020.
Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Swadron) of 60 years.
Loving father of Steven and Laurie Rubin, Lori and Michael Ricer, Bradley and Jane Rubin, Jodi and Michael Kalman, Jennifer and Craig Box.
Cherished Papa – best known for “What’s in the pocket Papa?” - of Rachel and Noah, Tyler, Lauren, Bethany, Jessica, Jordan, Zoe, Jenna, Shane, Melissa. Great Grandfather of Zev, Mia.
Better known as Al, by all those who knew him. Other than family, his loves were photography and aviation. He combined both when he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force Photographic Branch of Canada and NATO in 1957. He was a proud veteran of the Royal Canadian Legion Central Wingate Branch 256. His passion for photography took him to the Ontario Research Foundation Photo Engineering Department in 1962, after returning home from overseas. The Airport was his second home.
He was always on the go and ready to lend a helping hand. His constant smile and joyous laugh will be greatly missed by all.
