Hollingsworth DarrellHOLLINGSWORTH, Darrell Roy - Darrell Roy Hollingsworth, 59, passed away unexpectedly at home in Toronto on May 12, 2020.

He grew up in Bible Hill, NS and graduated from the Colchester Regional Vocational School as a bricklayer. He spent his life as a talented and skilled bricklayer and all around handyman. He worked in Nova Scotia and in Toronto and surrounding areas. He was very proud of the work he did and was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand.

More importantly he was the proud father of Kyle (Truro, NS) and Benjamin (Cambridge, ON). He always knew his boys were loved and cared for by their mother, Phyllis Taylor. He treasured the time he spent with the love of his life Chrystal Farmer and her grandchildren, who he adored.

He has left this earth to join his mother and father, Shirley and Roy Hollingsworth. He leaves behind his 10 siblings: Judith – Cranbrook, BC Ardith – Toronto, ON Ivy (Paul) – Vancouver, BC Shelley – Edmonton, AB Buffy (Sheldon) – Regina, SK Bradley – Halifax, NS Edward (Helen), Cathy (Mike), Glen and Carolyn (Larry) – of Truro, NS He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved beyond words.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date. There will be a visitation at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home in Toronto on May 22nd at 3pm EST.

Donations may be made to the Bible Hill Fire Department. In lieu of flowers Dee’s family would like you to reach out to others for assistance when times are difficult.

We are all in this together. Darrell always had a smile on his face, was always willing to help anyone in need and lived his life to the fullest. He would want you to do the same with your life. He would not want you sad, even for a day in his memory, please smile and do something kind for someone who needs it.
