Whitehead RobertWHITEHEAD, Robert 'Gerry' - Went into the presence of the Lord on May 21, 2020 at Scarborough General Hospital after a lengthy illness at home.

He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 68 years Naomi; daughter Lois, son Philip, and “Lizzie” to whom he was a wonderful Grandpa.

Also, by Rick and Jenny Wethers and Janice Dickie.

Loved and remembered by the Morkel family, nieces and nephews, friends, his sister-in-law Thora Cundy (Ted) and his Grace Church family.

Gerry was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ and had a compassionate and caring heart especially for children and young people.

He found great enjoyment in the North land of Ontario where he fished, hiked and explored in the days of his youth and spent many happy summers with his family on the Lake of Bays.

Thank you to the CCRA, EMS workers, the Palliative Care Unit at Scarborough General Hospital, Dr. Stephanov, Dr. Hong, Dr. Abdul Hussein, Dr. Mukherjee and Maria for their kindness and compassion to Gerry and to our family in the last days of his life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Grace Presbyterian Church (West Hill) – Men’s Breakfast Club, Teen Challenge or Covenant House.

Due to the challenges of COVID-19 there will be a private funeral on May 30, 2020 at 2p.m. Those who wish to join the family may do so online. (http://distantlink.com/dlm10.html) Our family hopes to hold a memorial celebration later on in the year when COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. We hope to see you all there.
