DI NELLA, Nicola - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Nicola Di Nella passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital the morning of June 7, 2020 at the age of 87.
Born in Paglieta, Abuzzo, Italy, Nicola came to Canada in 1967 with his wife and two children to start a new life.
He leaves behind his wife, Maria and four children Joe (Teresa), Milva (Pat), Max (Paula) and Maurizio (Rita).
Proud nonno of Jessica, James, Vanessa, Steven, Brandon, Mark, William and Arianna.
Predeceased by his brother Angelo in Italy. He will be missed by his brothers Vincenzo and Mario and by his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Nicola will forever be loved, cherished and remembered by all his family, relatives and friends.
In memory of Nicola, donations may be made to Canadian Lung Association and Heart & Stroke Foundation.
During this unprecedented situation with the pandemic, it is with very heavy hearts that it will be having a private funeral with immediate family in honor of Nicola. We must do this in order to minimize the threat of spreading the coronavirus. Ultimately, we recognize that the health and safety of our family and friends comes first. We appreciate your love and support at this time.
