Lowman GaryLOWMAN, Gary John(June 23, 1963 - June 7, 2020)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary John Lowman on June 7, 2020 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario after a short illness. Gary passed peacefully at the far-too-young age of 56.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his son Johnathon (Amy), daughter Brandy, grandchildren Elias and Owen, his mother Sylvia Lowman (nee Perrin), father Edward John Lowman (predeceased), brothers David, Chris (Jane) and Jim (Carolyn), as well as nephews and nieces Andrew, Jessica, Jack and Paige, and his step-mom Joanne Lowman (nee Scadding).

He will also be dearly missed by his second family, the Woods, especially John Sr., Audrey, Michele, John, Jeff and Karen. As well, Gary will be hugely missed by a great multitude of friends, many who have known him since his teenage years or earlier.

Gary grew up in Richmond Hill where he attended Bayview Secondary School before graduating from Seneca College. He has lived in Newmarket for the last 25 years, where he developed his business in the carpet/flooring industry and was considered one of the best and most respected people in that field. He always treated his customers and associates the way he would want to be treated himself. His heart was as big as his compassion for helping others. His great sense of humour always left a big smile on the faces of all who met him.

Gary loved the outdoors, spending much of his spare time boating, canoeing and camping. He took great pleasure in teaching his children and eldest grandson Elias to respect all aspects of nature. He also loved his music and his guitars, and was an accomplished guitar player, appearing on stage many times. He especially loved jamming with his friends, who all look forward to seeing him in rock and roll heaven one day!

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private service for immediate family and close friends will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home in Newmarket on June 15th at 2 p.m. The service will be live-streamed on YouTube  Gary Lowman Funeral Service Online
