Di LUZIO, Antonio Gabriele Scotto - Antonio Gabriele Scotto Di Luzio was born on November 21, 1937 in the Town of Bacoli near Naples, Italy and passed away on July 7, 2020 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 82 years.
His final years were spent peacefully at North Park Nursing Home, in the care of a tolerant group of nurses who routinely found ways to acquiesce to his insufferable demands.
His charm, ever present even in his declining years, was his weapon of choice and rarely failed to inspire.
Prior to his nursing home stint, he enjoyed a serene retirement. He found fulfilment in a vegetable garden and by creating nourishing cuisine - there wasn’t a tuber he didn’t appreciate! Feeding his children and friends was how he preferred to exhibit his lust for life… food was for far more than just sustenance. According to Antonio, eating well was precisely how to celebrate life and culture.
Antonio was predeceased by his beloved partner Vincenzina (nee Cammisa). Father to Vincenzo, Emelia, Josie, Sabina and Alessandro.
He will be missed, remembered and loved by his family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto. The Memorial Gathering will be on Sunday, July 19th, from 3 - 6 pm (**WITH RESTRICTIONS**). Cremation has taken place privately.
Visitation Information Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, during the visitations, a select few will be allowed into the building at a time. If you are not allowed entrance into the funeral home, you will be expected to wait in your vehicle, and not at the entry or outside of your vehicle. Each attendee will need to log their name and phone number before entering. A mask or cloth facial covering is required. Physical distancing includes no physical contact with the family present or others at the services, at any time (for your safety and theirs). Thank you for your understanding during this time.
COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated: • Permitted gathering sizes inside a building for funeral visitation and chapel services, will be up to 30% of the maximum room capacities (excluding funeral staff) while maintaining the six foot physical distancing rule. • Gathering sizes for outdoor services is limited to a maximum of 50 (excluding funeral staff) while maintaining the six foot physical distancing rule. • Further to the Registrar’s Guidance issued on June 15, 2020, wearing masks or face coverings is mandatory for all persons (funeral staff and attendees) inside all funeral establishments or any other indoor setting where a funeral or visitation is held The Funeral Home staff will be responsible for monitoring these numbers and will be collecting contact information from each visitor, as per the Health Authority’s guidelines.
