Chang KyungCHANG, Kyung Sook - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kyung Sook Chang, peacefully at North York General Hospital on July 19, 2020, after a short battle with stomach cancer. She was 70 years old.

Born in Daegu, South Korea, on August 1, 1949, she married her husband, Keun Choong Chang, in 1973, and immigrated to Canada in 1974 where they began a beautiful life together.

Kyung Sook is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Keun Choong Chang, and her loving children, Ted (Katherine), Bonnie (Robin), and Jennifer (Inho).

One of her greatest joys was doting on her eight grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by Ella, Benjamin, Sarah, Winston, Carter, Noah, Joshua and Jonah.

She was a much loved aunt to nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to many.

Kyung Sook will be forever remembered for her warmth, generosity, kindness and humour. She will be lovingly missed by her family, lifelong friends, and those whose lives she touched.

The family would like to convey deep gratitude to extended family, close friends, and the staff at North York General Hospital for caring for Kyung Sook in her final days.

Arrangements with Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto. The service will take place at St. Andrew Kim Korean Catholic Church, 849 Don Mills Rd., North York, ON on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 1:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Department at the North York General Hospital.
