RUTIGLIANO, Giacomo - Surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at home in Brampton at the age of 85.
Loving husband of Donata for 61 years. Cherished father of Anna-Maria, Mike (Lorena) and Domenic (Rita). Treasured Nonno to Robert, Michael (Victoria), Jacobe, Jordano, Luca and Sofia.
Predeceased by brothers: Agostino, Nicola and sister Caterina.
Giacomo was born in Sannicandro di Bari in 1934. He came and settled in Canada in 1954, and married Donata in 1958. Everyone who crossed paths with Giacomo -- family, friends, and strangers alike -- will remember him as a caring, giving and loving individual.
Many thanks are extended to the doctors, nurses and staff for their care and support, especially his daughter Anna-Maria who was his primary caregiver.
Family and friends may gather at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre - 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, on Friday, July 31st from 3pm-7pm (*Restrictions).
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 940 N Park Dr, Brampton on Saturday, August 1st, at 12pm (*Restrictions). Intermen, following the mass.
As an expression of charity, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Food For Children.
