Trofymowych Lillian LilyTROFYMOWYCH, Lillian 'Lily' - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother on August 23, 2020 in her 91st year.

Lillian will be reunited with her husband, the late Adam, as well as family and friends. She leaves behind her daughters Elizabeth and Nadine and her son Peter.

Lily was a city girl from an Irish Scottish background – growing up on John and McCaul Streets in downtown Toronto.

Joining a friend to attend a Saturday night dance at the Ukrainian church on Bathurst St., she met Adam - her husband of over 50 years.

As a married couple Lily and Adam bought their first and only home on Glenlake Avenue and she lived there for over 60 years until a day before she passed. Lily would walk to the Bloor West Village – “Bloor Street” every morning. Meeting friends for a coffee, visiting the shops and doing household errands – she was a familiar face on Bloor Street.

Though Lily suffered dementia during the last two years of her life, she would still participate in exercise classes - sitting at the front of the class and keeping up with the instructor and all the younger ladies. Lily enjoyed going out and would recognize old friends and places. Everyone who met her thought she was such a sweet lady.

We are blessed to have had so much love and happiness for so many years. We will miss her deeply but, she will always live in our hearts.

Friends may call at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke on Friday August 28th from 10:00 – Noon. Funeral service and Interment will be held at 1 pm at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
