Tzountzouris NormTZOUNTZOURIS, Naoum 'Norm' - November 6, 1949 – August 29, 2020.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of Norm.

He has reunited with his loving wife Maria.

Father to Paul (Stella) and Alex (Krissy).

Grandfather to Maria, Daniel, Rhodes, and Ava.

A caring brother to his sister Maria and wonderful uncle to his niece and nephews.

Born in Melas, Kastoria Greece, Naoum aka “Norm" emigrated to Canada in 1967 settling in Toronto at the age of 18.

A humble man that spoke volumes through his actions, hard work and kindness. Norm always put others before him, ensuring they were ok and never wanted to burden anyone.

Norm was a man of few words however, always full of pleasantries. Famous for walking or driving the streets of the neighbourhood picking up his coffee, sitting down with friends and acquaintances, listening and conversing about stories of the old country, sports and politics.

Always sharing a “Hello", followed by “what great weather we are having.” He really enjoyed the simple things, the company of his friends and family, taking drive's to the cottage, catching fish, cooking and often sitting outside facing the sun to get his daily vitamin D. He always had a smile and wore his heart on his sleeve.

What he was most proud of and really enjoyed was the time he had with his grandchildren. Whether picking them up from school, going to watch a hockey or soccer game, being the street sheriff making sure all kids were safe when rollerblading, scootering or playing a game of hoops, Norm cherished every occasion and every minute he got to spend with them.

His memory will remain loved and cherished.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 5:00PM - 9:00PM. The service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive, Toronto on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 10:30AM.
