Smart MalcolmSMART, Malcolm Isidore - On September 11, 2020, Malcolm passed away peacefully in the company of family and friends, at Toronto General Hospital, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

A retired teacher of Toronto District School Board, Malcolm was kind, quiet, gentle and loving, with a sharp wit and a great passion for history and education.

After humble beginnings in Trinidad & Tobago, his proudest achievements were the ability to provide for his family, and to assist the many young people with whom he met.

He was a mentor and a confidant.

Malcolm was the husband of Earle, father of Russel (Kim), Lynn (Henderson) and Angela.

He enjoyed every minute of being grandfather to AmyLynn, Lynden, Erin, Jestina and Maiya.

Malcolm was able to briefly meet Xavion Malcolm, his great grandson.

He was the beloved brother of Joyce, Merle, Eileen, Monica, Lorna, Claire, Lynette, Hugh Sr., Winston and Earl.

Pre-deceased by siblings Isidore Jr., Carlton Sr., Frances, Lennox, Neville, Rita, Norman, Cynthia and Selwyn.

His many nieces and nephews will miss their Uncle Malcolm dearly.

Malcolm was a loyal friend to Selwyn, Anthony and Peggy, Cliff and Wanda, Keith, Esther, Vanburn, Doug, Lynette, Pat and many others. Nearing the end of his life, he was tenderly nurtured by his Goddaughter, Adélé.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. John Kuruvilla and his medical team at Princess Margret Hospital.
