STEIN, Herbert – On Sunday, September 27, 2020 peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital.

Beloved husband of Yvonne for over 60 great years.  Loving father to Blaine z’l, and Robert, more than a father-in-law to Ruth who he adored with all his heart. Devoted and adoring papa, of David, Tanya Samantha, Daniel, Adam, and Dustin. Great-grandfather to Jonathan, Rachel, Galaxy, Tyson, Nivek, & Sitara.

In addition to being extraordinarily intelligent and accomplished, Herb was an uncommonly kind and compassionate person and mentor. As a recognized icon within Toronto Automobile Dealers, he showed many what it means to lead and serve the community with integrity, with courage and acts of love from his heart for the citizens of the GTA.

When the history books of Toronto Automobile Dealers are written, they will say Herbert Stein was a leader of unmatched skill, of formidable accomplishment, and a respected gentleman who served his customers with dignity and honour.

Herb taught us that serving the community is noble and necessary, that one can serve with integrity and hold true to the important values like faith and family. He strongly believed that it was important to give back to the community and country in which one lived. He recognized that serving others enriched the giver’s soul. To us, his was the brightest of a thousand points of light.

We’re going to remember you for exactly that and much more, and we’re going to miss you. Your decency, sincerity, and kind soul will stay with us forever. And your humble ways, someone who never looked down on anybody unless you were helping them up.

So through our tears, let us know the blessings of knowing and loving you, a great and noble man. The best father a son could have. And in our grief, let us smile knowing that you will never be forgotten.

Private Family Service arrangements September 29th with Steeles Memorial Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to North York General Hospital Foundation at 416-756-6944, or Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation at 416-480-4483
