Finch EthelFINCH, Ethel Mary - (1930 – 2020) - Ethel Finch (90), of Milton, Ontario sadly passed away on October 29, 2020.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy (Danny) and Lori (Glenn), 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Wally and daughter Wendy.

Ethel was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 25, 1930. She married Wally, our father on October 6, 1951, and they settled into a house in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Ethel was a sweet, warm and caring mother, wife, grandmother (nanny), great-grandmother and friend to many. She loved being a home-maker and enjoyed many activities outside of home such as bridge, euchre, curling and trips to the casino.

Her hobbies included sewing, cooking and travel. She adored the travel club through her association with Faustina – a hockey club Mom and Dad devoted many years to. Together, they explored the Caribbean, the USA and travelled to England and Europe several times to visit family.

Mom cherished her time at Crystal Lake with her sister Lillian and her husband Vaughan and the family. Many summer holidays were spent enjoying the country, boating and barbeques. Later in life Mom and Dad purchased their cottage on Three Mile Lake in Muskoka, Ontario. A special place which brought many summers of joy spent with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends which continues to this day.

She will be sadly missed by many extended family and friends.

Arrangements with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel. Given the current circumstances surrounding Covid-19, a private event will be held to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society or Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
