HEALY, James Barret - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father, James Barret Healy, on November 7, 2020.  He passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital, with family by his side.

Son of the late Wm. J. Healy and M. Verna (Pendergast) Healy.

Survived by his son John Charles (Anne-Marie Dunn) and daughters Elizabeth and Catherine (Steve Arsenault), and their dear mother Mary Carol (Knowlton) Healy.

He was very proud of his children and all their accomplishments.

Grandfather of Connor (Lyubov Portnykh) and Kendall Healy (Loren Chiles) and Jackson Healy-Arsenault.

In the last chapter of his life, he felt thankful to have shared a special and loving companionship with Catherine Szebeny and her family.

Predeceased by his best buddy “Angus”, and many other of his “four-legged friends”.

Cremation has taken place, and as per his wishes, there will be no wake. Family graveside service and internment in the Healy Family plot will be held on November 14, 2020.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the team at Sunnybrook Hospital for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, Dad and the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to St Michael’s College (University of Toronto), or St. Michael’s Hospital; or The Salvation Army.

“I have battled. I have made mistakes,

but I have lived my life the best I can,

according to the world as I see it”.
