MATTHIAS, Catherine Maud - Catherine Maud Matthias (nee Duncan) was born on March 8, 1911 in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica and passed away on November 7, 2020 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 109 years.
Catherine was predeceased by her beloved: husband De Cordova, daughter Monica, son Lloyd, grandson Carl, great grandson Nicolas, and all of her siblings.
She was the loving Mother of her surviving children Thelma and Roy.
Catherine was a cherished Grandma of Hugh, Karen, Christine, Maurice, Sharisse, Leighton, Dale, Denise, Cathrina, Andrew, and Junior, and a beloved Great Grandma of 11 and Great-Great Grandma of 7.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered by all of her family and friends.
Arrangements with Jerrett funeral home, St. Clair Chapel, Toronto. Due to the current restrictions limiting the number of people that may attend funeral services, the visitation and funeral service will remain private for the family.
There will be a private family burial to take place at Cimetiere Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges, in Montreal.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Catherine Maud Matthias may be made to the CNIB or to the Montreal Association of the Blind.
