Richardson IreneRICHARDSON, Irene Joan - (March 28, 1937 - November 19, 2020) - It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Joan Richardson announces her passing after a lengthy illness, at age of 83.

Irene will be lovingly remembered by daughter Kimberly Sawler husband Paul and grandsons Matthew and Andrew, and daughter Beverly Fergus and husband Greg.

Forever lovingly remembered by devoted sister Ann Wethers. Fondly missed by niece Ruth Wethers (Paul Bottero) great niece Chelsea, and nephew Grant Wethers (Julie) great nephew Reid and great nieces Chloe and Bella.

Irene was predeceased by husband Larry Richardson and parents James and Isa Findlay.

Irene was born in Glasgow Scotland, and immigrated to Canada at the age of 19 where she met and married the love of her life, Larry. Together they raised their family while living in Toronto, Ottawa, Waverly Nova Scotia, before returning to the Toronto area.

Irene loved being a stay at home mom but always enjoyed part time jobs, eventually working full time as her daughters grew up. Irene was employed with National Cash Registe , Bank of Montreal, Irene Hill Ladies Wear, Penwell Dentistry and Maclaren Morris and Todd Ltd.

Irene always kept a beautiful home. She loved cooking, baking (especially at Christmas), fine dining and entertaining friends. For years Irene was an avid knitter, a life-long Frank Sinatra fan and an animal lover. Irene and Larry enjoyed winter trips to Florida, California and Nevada U.S.A., while continuing to visit their girls in Alberta and on the east coast of Canada. In later years, Irene especially loved visits and adventures with her grandsons and frequent trips with family and friends.

Irene will be remembered for her sense of adventure, her love of family and her fearlessness of a challenge.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements with Andrews funeral home, Brampton.

A donation can be made to Diabetes Canada in Irene’s memory.
