Holzscherer WillyHOLZSCHERER, Willy  - Willy Holzscherer passed away peacefully in the Perth hospital on January 10, 2021 in his 92nd year.

He was the loved husband of the late Margaret for 55 years and dear father of Henk (Sharon), Craig (Janice) and Adrian (Dahlia), caring Opa to Justin, Thane, Breanna, Clifton, Derek, Jason, Erin and Kyra and special great-Opa to Aaralyn, Renee, Shintaro, Naomi and Baron.

Willy was brother to Miep Mundy (predeceased) and Hetty Behr and uncle to Wilna, Ronald, Marcel, Walter, Paul and Harpert (predeceased).

He was born in Arnhem, Holland on April 6, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1951.

Willy worked as a draftsman for the Etobicoke Hydro for 27 years designing for the electrical power grid servicing the local community. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

The family wishes to thank everyone including friends and the medical staff of the Perth hospital for their care, kind support and warm thoughts through this difficult time.

A celebration of life ceremony will be planned later in the year after Covid restrictions have been lifted.

In loving memory of Willy, contributions to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the First Baptist Church in Perth would be appreciated.
