McKERNAN, Jessie Whitlie (nee Johnston) - (February 23, 1923 – January 17, 2021)
Beloved wife of the late James Campbell McKernan. Loving mother to Jennifer Meade (the late Jim) and Susanne Grant (Robert).
Proud Grandmother to Gerald, Stacey (Keith), Tara (Chris), Robin (Mio) and her great grandchildren; Madison, Benjamin, Jade, Laine, Charles, Campbell and Conner.
Jess’s favourite things in life besides her family, were her love of gardening, knitting, sewing, and baking. She will be remembered fondly and missed by all who enjoyed her bright and chipper manner. Her grandchildren will particularly miss her egg salad sandwiches on white bread, her chocolate drops and sharing “a lovely cup of tea."
Very special thanks to the staff at Alexander Muir for all their kindness, concern and care. Thank you also to the Palliative Care Staff at Southlake Hospital.
Arrangements entrusted with Roadhouse and Rose funeral home, Newmarket. A private family service will take place, at a later date.
