YOUNG, Rita - The family of Rita Young announce her passing. Born on November 17, 1948 in Brighton, England Rita passed
away peacefully on Thursday January 21, 2021.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 49 years, Murray John Young. Together they had a great love for family and raised 3 wonderful children.

They lived in West Hill for most of their married lives. And made many fond memories in the home that they both loved on Cultra Square.

Her 3 children, Tina, Billy and Danny, who in there adult years strived to be the “best of the bunch,” will miss her more than words can say. The best mother we could have asked for. We are so incredibly thankful for every moment that we had with you.

Rita had 3 “in-law” children who she viewed and loved as her own. Doug, Sarah, and Megan. She was always thankful for the love and support that they showed to her children and so proud to call you her children.

One of the greatest joys in her life were her 7 grandchildren. Emily 21, Joel 18, Claire 11, Will 8, Liam 7, Connor 5, and Annie 1.  Known to them as “Bumma.” She had a very special relationship with each one of them. She was, and will continue to be a very special person in each of their lives.

As family was the most important thing to her, she held many titles that she held dear to her heart. Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, “Bumma”, Daughter, Sister, Sister-in-law,  Aunt, “Do Do,” and friend

As per her request there will be no funeral or celebration of life. Memorial donations may be made to The Toronto Zoo.
