NONNEWITZ, Alfred - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in his 86th year, sailing Quickstep 4 into the sunset.
Beloved husband of Rosemarie, father of Bill (Barb) and Sandy, devoted Opa to Mike and Jody.
He will be sorely missed by family and friends, including those in Germany.
Alfred will be remembered for the love he showed for his family and for his loud cheering at Bill’s hockey games and then carrying on the tradition with Mike and Jody at their hockey games.
He also looked forward to spending his spare time with his many friends at Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club and was always lending a hand at work parties but most importantly winning the club races!
Alfred was also an accomplished businessman as President of F.R. Custom Metal for over 30 years.
We want to give thanks to the caring staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their compassionate care and attention to Alfred.
There will be a private family service at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, Thornhill.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation in his name to the Sunnybrook Foundation.
