Deguara CharlesDEGUARA, Charles - (1925 - 2021) - Passed away on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at the age of 95 at his residence at Kipling Acres Long Term Care Home.

Now reunited with his loving Wife Doreen (2012) and Son Brian (2013).

He will be missed by his loving Daughter Carole and Son-in-Law Julius (Whitey) and Lady his loving Grand Dog, Grand-daughter Jaimie and Husband Derek, Great-Grandsons Noah and Simon, his Brother Victor and Sister-in-law Shirley, Sister Angela, many nieces and nephews, and special longtime friends Dawn and Terry and God-Daughter Althea.

Charles was a plate maker for the Globe and Mail in Toronto until his retirement. He sacrificed so much for his family time by working the afternoon shift making sure we were ok. We would look forward to every fifth weekend that he had off and we made of most of it going to our family cottage. Precious memories for sure.

He loved his garden, especially Roses, taking photos and drives in the country. He was strong, loving and generous. He was a grand master of story telling and people would listen for hours. He would entertain the residents and staff with his stories and he made them smile.

On behalf of myself and my family, I sincerely thank all the staff at Kipling Acres for the love and support and taking great care of him.

To honour Charles's wishes, private cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Newediuk funeral home.

As expressions of sympathy, donations the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
