Hood MildredHOOD, Mildred (nee RULE)   - August 1, 1925 - April 3, 2021

It is with great sadness, that we the family, announce the passing of our dear Mum, Mildred (nee Rule) in her 96th year on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Oakville, Ontario.

Forever held in the hearts of her late loving husband James (Jimmy), daughters Shirley (Peter Kubela) and Linda (Ross Sanders) and their families.

She was a very proud Grandma and Great-Grandma (GG) to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored her.

Mildred also leaves behind her dear sister Margot and her family of Toronto and her late brother Robert's family in England.

Born in Perth, Scotland, Mildred immigrated to Canada in 1949 with her sister Margot.

Mildred met Jimmy and they were married in 1950 and lived in Scarborough, where they welcomed and raised their 2 daughters.

They also became founding members of Clairlea Park Presbyterian Church and with her love of music and beautiful voice, Mildred sang in the choir. Together they enjoyed travelling and time spent at their summer lake home in Keswick, entertaining family and friends until the passing of Jimmy in 1992.

After 67 years in her Scarborough home, she relocated to The Kensington Senior Living in Oakville where she enjoyed the many social times and musical events.

The family is grateful to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and the Kensington Staff for their kindness and compassion during Mum's care over the years.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family interment will take place.

If you wish to honor Mildred in a very special way, please consider a donation to Clairlea Park Presbyterian Church, Oakville Trafalgar Hospital or a Charity of your choice.
