PHILLIPO, Peter Terrance - It is with great sadness that we the family of Terry Phillipo announce his sudden passing on Friday, May 7, 2021.
Terry was born in Sydney on June 25, 1943, to parents Gertrude (Hines) and Peter Phillipo.
He studied at STFX University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Earlier in his life, he moved to Ontario where he began his career as a policeman for 38 years with the Toronto Metro Police Service until his retirement in 2004.He is the proud father and grandfather to his daughter Stephanie Luca (Richie), and his grandchildren Cristian and Mylah, who he adored with all his heart. He was predeceased by his son Andrew, and his parents Gertie and Pete.
He is survived by his sister Carol Lewis (Bob) of Ancaster, Ontario, and his brother Michael of Sydney.
He also leaves behind his many friends, relatives, and co-workers, who he enjoyed their company over the years. He was a very kind person who was willing to help others, and his humour will be missed by all that knew him, especially his special friends Cordell and Helen Ball, and Jeanette Macdonald, who were always there for him.
He loved and cherished their friendship.
A special thanks to Dr. Patel and Dr. Kodogota for his care over the years.
Cremation has taken place. A service in his honour will take place at a later date.
