Haynes VictorHAYNES, Victor Frank - (May 3, 1925 to May 12, 2021) - It is with great sadness, I report the passing of our father Victor Frank Haynes, on May 12, 2021.

Victor was the eldest child of the late Rhoda Edwards and the late Archibald (Percy) Haynes. He was born on May 3, 1925 and left us at the age of 96 years.

Victor worked at Bookers Stores Ltd. (McKenzie Branch), worked as a Senior Co-operative Officer at the Ministry of Co-operative and was stationed in Leguan, Fort Wellington, and finally in Buxton/Friendship. At the inception of the Guyana National Insurance Scheme Victor was transferred to the institution as the Finance Officer. He later moved on to Guyana External Trade Bureau as an Accountant and finally to Guyana National Trading Corporation (Agency Division) as Officer in Charge where he remained until his retirement. He relocated to Canada and worked for a while as an Accountant at Tropicana Community Service.

He is survived by his wife Brenda and children Joseph, Frances Patricia, Ethel, Cheryll, Paula, Frank Aggrey and Roxanne, grandchildren, great grandchildren. His siblings Thelma Haynes-Seaforth, Percy Haynes, Clifford Walcott, Fidele Eldridge, Percy Walcott, Evelyn Cantin and Jean Spencer. He was related to the Edwards’, Benjamin’s, Williams’, Emanuel’s, Samuels’, Griffith’s, Spencers’, David’s, Ramsey’s, Clarke’s, Marshall’s, and is survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

He is particularly proud of his academic and professional accomplishments and credited his hard work for all his successes.

We will miss him dearly.
