Robertson DougROBERTON, Douglas 'Doug' Paterson - Died peacefully, but reluctantly, on June 9, 2021 after lovely visits with all of his family.

Doug leaves behind Barbara, his devoted wife of 67 years.

Predeceased by his parents Ken and Carol Roberton, and his brother, Irvine.

He will be dearly missed by his sister, Sonia Wight.

Doug will be forever cherished by his children Boyd (Sue), Bev (Charlie)  and Don (Maria).

He was an adored Grandpa to his wonderful grandchildren Kyla, Allison, and Emma Roberton, Jamie and Caroline Pennock, Spencer and Jack Roberton, and Grand Dad to his step grandchildren Matthew, Laura and Chris.

Doug was born in Montreal.

In 1966, he moved his family to Toronto to start Roberton Industries, a specialty automotive parts distributor.

The love of his life was his partner and constant companion Barbara.

Doug will be remembered for his unwavering optimism and his endearing sense of humour. He wanted people to smile and always be happy “I have had a great life and a wonderful family to spend it with. You could not ask for more.”

The family is grateful for the kind care provided by Amica Balmoral Club, his two PSWs Susan and Bev, Mt Sinai Hospital and Bridgepoint Palliative Care.

A private service will take place at Rosedale Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Doug’s memory may be made to Regent Park School of Music or Canadian Cancer Society/Prostate.
