FRECKELTON, Joyce Lorraine (nee SEAGROVE)    -  October 22, 1944 – June 24, 2021

On June 24, 2021, the world lost Joyce Freckelton (age 76).

She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

Joyce battled lung cancer for over 2 ½ years, but it never stopped her from being active in family events and in the lives of others.

Joyce was born in Toronto, Ontario on October 22, 1944.

She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Edward Sampson Seagrove and Lily (Stearn) Seagrove, from London, England.

She was also predeceased by brother George and sister Margaret, and survived by 3 brothers Jim, Norm, and Charlie.

Joyce is also survived by loving husband Robert John Freckelton, and their sons Cliff (Jayne), Kevin, Ken (Leanne), and Carl. Grandkids include Carlee (Tyler), Emilee (Sean), Robert, Rivers, Madelyn, and Katie, plus great-grandson James.

Our very deep gratitude to the compassionate staff at Yee Hong Hospice and ALL the medical professionals at Princess Margaret Hospital and the UHN, who treated her for cancer and helped the last years of her life.

Joyce was interred at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with immediate family members in attendance on Friday, July 9, 2021.

A "celebration of life" gathering will be held at a future date for friends and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, Joyce wished for donations to be made in her memory to her two favourite charities: Variety Village and SickKids Foundation.
