Donnelly RosemaryDONNELLY, Rosemary Angela (McGlade) - Passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Every person Rosemary met was blessed by her indomitable spirit of laughter, joy and gratitude for a life filled with love and compassion.

Born on August 9th, 1955 to Eugene and Eileen (Gomes) McGlade in Toronto, Canada, she was the sixth out of seven children - Leslie and Kathleen(twins), Terrence and Patricia(twins),Linda and Cecelia, all of whom filled her life with countless moments of family and love.

The love of her life and life-long companion for 50 years, her husband Patrick, took the words” in sickness and in health” as they were meant to be. Supporting Rosemary these many years as no other could have done. Their marriage exemplified love. Their son, Brendan and wife Jen and two grandchildren, Ethan and Norah gave Rosemary eternal joy.

Rosemary often said that she woke each day in gratitude, giving thanks for the blessing of the people in her life, her countless friends and in particular, her husband Patrick who kept her alive for 25 years beyond the medical prognosis of 2 years. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends in Toronto, Ireland, Cambridge(ON) and the United States and most particularly, her sister Cecelia.

Rosemary was not one of the best in the world, she was one of the best for the world.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Funeral will take place on Friday, September 24th, 2021 in the chapel. Limited to family and close friends. Internment to follow. A celebration of life memorial will be arranged at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations: Community Living York South; Lung Cancer Canada; Haitian Earthquake Fund for Victims.
