Moncrieffe RoyMONCRIEFFE, Roy Titchburn Roy Titchburn Moncrieffe was born on July 25, 1923 in the town of Bonny Gate, in the Parish of St. Mary, Jamaica to Georgiana Buchanan and Richard Moncrieffe. He was predeceased by his 7 sisters, 2 brothers and his son Oscar.

He passed away on October 14, at the age of 98, at home in Mississauga, Ontario. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile, despite the pain.

He met the love of his life, May while working as a Nursing Orderly at the Montego Bay hospital. They were together for 73 years. They immigrated to Canada in 1959 (May) and 1961(Roy) where they raised their family.

He was a member of the Woodlands Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness in Mississauga from 1995 until he took ill, and previously attended the Carlton and Gerard Congregations in Downtown Toronto.

He is survived by his wife May and children, Claud, Fritz(Della), Marcia(Greg), Tony, Earl(Laura), Owen, his many Grandchildren (33) and Great-grand children (10).

He is fondly remembered by the grand kids for his breakfasts of; “soft boiled eggs and golden tea(camomile)”, going tram-posing, and grandpas famous saying “May leave the Pinckney them alone naw mon”. He loved to play music; Jazz, Country, Blues and his favourite song “Mona Lisa” which he would serenade our mother.

We are thankful that death is not final, as we have a hope of seeing our loved ones again, “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus] voice and come out..” - John 5:28, 29.

Arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
