Middleton PhilipMIDDLETON, Philip (Phil)   - John December 31, 1923 – January 16, 2022

Phil Middleton passed away due to complications from pneumonia, at the age of 98 years.

Phil will be sadly missed by daughter, Maureen (Glyn), sons, Tom (Leslie), John (Bin), grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris), Jeanine (Anthony), Christopher (late), Philip, great-grandchildren, Hazel, Alex, Emerson.

Phil joined the RCAF in August 1942 at the age of 18, in Montreal, and served with 6 Group, Bomber Command as a Navigator, completing 36 sorties over enemy territory with 434 Bluenose Squadron based in Croft, England.

After WWII, Phil continued to proudly serve in the RCAF, retiring at the rank of Captain.

In retirement, Phil co-owned and operated a number of broadloom stores and completed his BA in Political Science.

Leading an active lifestyle, Phil loved to go for walks, participate in fitness activities, reading, music and spending time with his family.

Phil was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan, always hopeful for that next World Series Championship. 

The family is grateful for the medical care he received at Credit Valley Hospital.

A cremation will take place and a private graveside service will be held.
