McDERMOTT, Sean Peter - Sean, a gentle, kind and funny man, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023, after a long hospitalization in Toronto, Canada.
Predeceased by parents, Christopher and Pauline McDermott.
Sean was a loving and devoted dad to his daughter, Kate McDermott.
He was a gifted songwriter, singer, a published poet and an avid swimmer.
He will be missed by siblings, Eugene (Miriam), Clare (Bryan, RIP), Noreen (David) and Stephen (Julie); nieces and nephews, Reilly, Aidan, Lauren, Ethan and Marie; extended family in Canada and in his birthplace of Ireland; and his many friends.
Cremation is being handled by The Simple Alternative, Mount Pleasant Group.
Family and friends are invited to remember Sean at a Mass of Remembrance and also at a celebration of life in the near future.
Donations in Sean's name can be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute.
