Morrison BrockMORRISON, BROCK H.   -

November 4, 1035 - February 22, 2024

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Brock H. Morrison, at the age of 88, on February 22, 2024, at his home in Toronto, where he had resided most of his life.

Brock was born on November 4, 1935, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Elsie (Woodman) Morrison and Thomas Sandall Morrison Sr.

His early education began at the Wolseley Elementary School in Winnipeg and continued in Montreal and Toronto as his family moved.

Brock graduated from The University of Toronto with a bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering and worked for decades with many mining companies throughout Canada and overseas.

Brock is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shirley (Cottrell) Morrison of Belfast, Ireland. In Toronto, he met Shirley, the love of his life, and they spent over 50 years together enjoying their passion, yachting.

They were members of the South Mimico Cruising Club for 40 years, where they spent their free time socializing with their many friends and volunteered in their spare time to tend the flower gardens at the club. Brock is also survived by his brother, Thomas Sandall Morrison of Bluffton, South Carolina, US; cousin, Morna-June Morrow of Winnipeg, Manitoba; his nieces, Nancy Ann (Morrison) Milton of Canton, MA, and Kristin Morrison of Newton, MA; and nephew, Douglas J. Morrison of Andover, MA; cousin-in-law, Ronald Davis of Belfast, Ireland; as well as several grandnieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel located at 2035 Weston Road in Toronto, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. until the Service at 1:00 p.m.
