Traill IanTRAILL, Ian George Stewart  -

1941 - 2024

Ian, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, on May 2, 2024, one day short of his 83rd birthday, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Dundee, Scotland, Ian had always enjoyed giving back to his community, fundraising for the United Way, delivering Meals on Wheels, a longtime coach/mentor of his daughter's softball teams at Amesbury Sports Club and his son's AA hockey teams at Goulding Park.

Ian was known for his punctuality, always arriving early, and his favorite phrase "to be totally honest with you."

Ian will be deeply missed by his loving/devoted wife of 62 years, Patricia; his loving children, Linda (Randy), Pauline, and Jeff (Kareen); his cherished grandchildren, Tyler (Victoria), Stewart, Jessica, Aidan, and Laura; adorable great-grandchildren, Paisley, and Oren; his brother, Graeme (Aileen); fun-loving in-laws; step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.

Ian was predeceased by his mother, Ella Malcolm; father, Thomas Traill; sisters, Nancy, and Stella; and brother, Norman. We are profoundly grateful to our beloved mum for her unwavering devotion to our father throughout his life.

Together they immigrated to Canada at a very young age to ensure they were providing the best opportunities for their children. Mum cherishes the memories they made together on their many travels to the Caribbean/Mexico.

We are forever grateful for Pauline, dear daughter/sister, and her unwavering support for dad. Her dedication provided comfort and strength to mum and our entire family.

We will hold a private celebration of life for immediate family to honour Ian's life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Canada in Ian's memory.

Ian will forever be remembered for his unwavering love and countless memories shared with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
