STALKER, Shirley Louise (nee HUNTER)  - Born September 7, 1935, died December 30, 2017.

Caring and beloved wife of 55 years to Joseph "Mike" (predeceased); devoted mother of Louise, Paul (Margaret), Suzanne, Philip and Andrew (Heather); loving grandmother of Graham, Robin, William and Emmet.

Survived by sister Marilyn (Frank) and brother Robert (Mary), step-sisters Nicole, Michelle and Yvette and nieces and nephew (Michael, Lori, Lisa, Angela, Sherry and Vanda). Predeceased by mother Elsie (née Courtney), father Hugh and step-father Philippe Gauthier.

Shirley passed away, aged 82, with loving family at her side at Providence Manor, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, succumbing to Alzheimer's disease and influenza.

Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario, in her youth Shirley enjoyed spending time on Blue Mountain with her family having picnics, skiing and swimming in Georgian Bay.

As a young adult, Shirley moved to Toronto where she met and married Mike, recently emigrated from Melbourne, Australia. The young couple moved to Cronulla, New South Wales, Australia, for a year before returning to Toronto to settle and start a family.

A caring and devoted mother, Shirley spent most of her adult life focused on raising her young family of five children. Over the years, the family lived across eastern Ontario, residing in Toronto, Newmarket, Kingston and Guelph.

Shirley's family sends heartfelt thanks to the Providence Manor medical, social and caregiving staff, in particular the kind Nurses and PSWs of Montreal 5.

A private family service was held in Kingston on Sunday, December 31, 2017.
