VIHANT, Frank - February 14, 1936 - January 25, 2018
It is with profound sadness that the Vihant family announces his passing, peacefully with his wife and family by his side.
Frank Vihant was born in Beli Manastir, Osijek-Baranja, Croatia and immigrated to Canada with his family as a teenager.
After two years in Alberta, he settled in Toronto/Mississauga and enjoyed a lengthy career with The Oshawa Group (now Sobeys) and retired as Superintendent of Operations for the national distribution centre in Malton, Ontario.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Mary Vihant and older sister Matilda Boland. Frank was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth and older brother John.
Frank is survived by his children Rosemary (Jeff Wheelock), Frank Jr. (Irene Healy), Alan (Sheila Webster), grandchildren Matthew, Edward, Olivia and Cameron, and his beloved cat Honey.
Frank Vihant was a person of excellence and will be dearly missed by all those who loved him. Our thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Credit Valley Hospital for their compassionate care.
