Del Brocco LouDEL BROCCO, Luigi 'Lou'  - On February 20, 2018, Luigi (Lou) Del Brocco passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Orillia Hospital.

Born April 22, 1932, he is survived by Jean (Piela) his best friend and loving wife of 59 years, his children - David (Kim), Valerie (Gigi Van Weezel), and Louis Junior (Barb), his grandchildren - Lauren, Taylar, Mateo, Miaelena, Michael, Blake and Jenna, and his sisters - Virginia Del Brocco and Marie Rosa.

Lou was predeceased by his siblings Phillip, Elizabeth, Laura, Anne, Josephine, Donny, Louise, Vince and Christina.

For over 50 years, Lou was a highly respected coach and subsequent Director of the Greater Toronto Hockey League eventually being proudly recognized as an exclusive GTHL Life Member. He especially enjoyed the times accompanying many hockey teams travelling to Europe. He was an avid wood carver, a fantastic euchre player and was beloved by his large family and many friends.

Lou was the youngest of 12 children born to Luigi and Rosa. The Del Brocco's were the first Italian family to live in Vaughan in a home that was originally the Old Carrville Post Office recently restored and preserved. Lou and Jean owned Agincourt Trophy and relocated from Toronto to Lake Dalrymple for their retirement years.

The family will receive friends at R.S. Kane Funeral Home at 6150 Yonge St., Toronto, on Friday, March 2nd between 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass on March 3rd at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church at 222 Ridley Blvd., near Avenue Rd. and Wilson, with a celebration reception to follow.
