TESHIMA, Rosa Setsuko - After a courageous battle with cancer, Rosa passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the age of 85.
Predeceased by her husband George Yukio.
Rosa will be dearly missed by her common-law spouse Sab, son Steve (Tara), daughter Kim (Ed) and granddaughter Emily. Survived by her sister Kay Harue.
Predeceased by her father and mother, Katsujiro and Saju Kato. Rosa will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Baycrest Hospital, who compassionately cared for Rosa during her final weeks.
Visitation at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, on Wednesday, April 11th from 9 - 10 a.m.
Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 10 a.m. Cremation. Private interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Baycrest Hospital, Palliative Care Unit or the Toronto Buddhist Church would be appreciated.
