It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Michal Hawkins, 72, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on April 12, 2018.

Leonard, better known as Lenny, was born and raised in Scarborough, Canada by Henry and Dorothy Hawkins.

After retiring from the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service in 1992, Lenny spent his retirement in the Arizona sun doing the things he loves; relaxing in his pool, fishing, boating and listening to old country music.

Lenny is survived by his friend Barbara Piekaar, brothers Walter and Peter, loving children Roseanne VanHoof (Ron), Cathy Hawkins (Bill), Meagan Murdock (Steve) and John Hawkins (Greg); six grandchildren Eric Cunningham, Anna VanHoof, Cameron Murdock, Erika Murdock, Sheri Fox (Dave) and Leanne Millman; and three great-grandchildren Julian Fox, Camron Fox and Victoria Fox. He was preceded in death by his parents and four other siblings.

As per his request, there will be no funeral service, a small family gathering was held April 18, 2018 in Lake Havasu and a Celebration of Life will be held June 16, 2018 at the residence of his daughter, Roseanne VanHoof.
