FINK, Robert "Rob" - Passed away at West Park Long Term Care Centre on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the age of 75, after a long illness.
Rob was a Professor of Linguistics at York University, much loved by his students for 38 years.
Among his leisure pursuits he loved wilderness camping and canoeing and enjoying time at his cottage in the Kawarthas.
He was also a volunteer steward in High Park, a great handyman and piano player favouring show tunes and big band jazzy numbers. He graduated from Rye Neck High School, NY and from the University of Rochester and maintained friendships at both places for most of his life.
He will be sorely missed by his wife Wendy, daughter Melissa and son Josh.
Also by brother Pete, son-in-law Frank, grandchildren Jamie, Zach and Cameron, Wendy's daughter Kim, former wife Judy and many other family and friends in Canada, the US and overseas.
