Cutler MurrayCUTLER, Murray Owen  - 1934 - 2018  Murray passed away peacefully at home in Toronto surrounded by his family on May 3, 2018.

He leaves behind his loving wife and lifelong partner of 59 years Diane (nee Dick), son Gord (Leeanne) and daughter Joanne(Terry).

Murray was very proud of his grandchildren Benjamin (Caitlin), Jacob (Drew), Nikki and Lauren and great-grandson Noah.

Born in St. Thomas, Ontario to parents Isaac and Lillian, Murray shared a loving household with his siblings Ruth (Cooper), John and twin brother Richard.

Murray was a proud graduate of The Royal Military College of Canada and University of Toronto where he studied to become an Electrical Engineer. Upon graduating, Murray served in the RCAF for 8 years where he enjoyed his love of flying as a navigator in the CF100 aircraft.

With his military career over, Murray embarked on a successful career in business with key executive positions at the T. Eaton Company and Northern Telecom. An active volunteer, Murray devoted tireless hours over 25 years to the United Church of Canada and to the building of a much needed long term care facility.

A thoughtful and caring husband, father and grandfather, Murray always placed family first and was at his best at family celebrations surrounded by grandchildren and dogs. Murray had a great love of his cottage in Georgian Bay where he enjoyed working on his many projects and being out in his boat fishing. Murray's humble ways, kindness and dry sense of humour will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or United Church of Canada.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 6th, 2-5 p.m. at Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7th, 2 p.m. at Parkwoods United Church, 85 Parkwoods Village Dr., North York.
