MARKLE, Dorothy June (nee CLARK)  - 1925 - 2018 Serenaded by music, Dorothy passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018; reunited with our father John Henry (April 7, 2017).

We were blessed to have such a kind, gentle, strong and fun mother whose faith helped guide her. She was always quick to share her beautiful smile and sense of humour.

We could count on her wise advice, delicious baking, homemade jams and well-done beef. Dorothy was generous with her time, volunteering in many community activities.

She was a lifetime member of St. John's Catholic Women's League, Toronto Historical Society and Scarboro Missions Auxiliary.

She was an east ender, sports fan, bowler, curler and proud Canadian.

She will be missed by her children Paul, John (Mary), Peter (Pam), Dorothy (Emil), David (Debbie) and Ann Marie, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Please hug someone with memory/cognitive challenges and let them know they matter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Houses of Providence Music Program, 3276 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, ON M1L 1W1.  Funeral will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Road, Toronto, on Wednesday, May 9th at 11 a.m. Burial to follow.
