WILSON , Helen May (KIMBER)(nee HARRIS)  - Our beloved Helen passed away peacefully on April 24, 2018 in her 96th year.

Daughter of the late Joseph (Joe) H. Harris and Hannah Ellen Mitchell. Predeceased by her two loving husbands, John R. Kimber and John D. Wilson. What a great life she had with her 2 Jack's!

Beloved mother of Robert Kimber, Jane Philpott (Gordon) and John Kimber (Pat).

Grandmother to Steven Kimber (Caitlin) and Shaelynn Kimber.

Helen will be missed by her nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Mary Harris. Step-mother of John Wilson (Ginny), Joan Wilson and Janet Dickie (Walter).

Step-grandmother to the extended Wilson clan.

Helen was a graduate of Malvern Collegiate Institute and University of Toronto. She was a tireless volunteer for over 30 years with the Canadian Cancer Society in Scarborough.

Helen was on the Board of the Toronto East General Hospital (now Michael Garron) for 9 years and was an Honourary member of the Foundation Board. Her father Joe, the hospital's founder, would have been so proud of her to continue his legacy (Joseph Harris Society).

Mom was so grateful to have so many good friends as a longtime cottager on Stony Lake and a resident at the Gates of Guildwood.

Family will receive friends at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., Scarborough followed by a Celebration of Life at 3 p.m. in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Michael Garron Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.Helen made the world a richer place by her presence in it.
