LAYNE, Valerie Delores - With great sadness, we lay our beloved Valerie Delores Layne to rest.
She left us on June 12, 2021, at 8:03 p.m., in the hands of her sister and youngest son.
Valerie will be missed. Her charisma, spunk, talent and energy were infectious.
She blessed the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As we grieve through this time, we contemplate what's a sunny day without Valerie by our side.

BALANYK, Richard Allan - On June 12, 2021, Rich left our Mother Earth peacefully and passed into the ‘spirit world’.
Rich remained at Lakeside Long Term Care home until the end, as he had requested. He loved Lakeside and their wonderful caregivers with all his heart.
Survived by his sister Diane and brother-in-law John, he is fondly remembered by several cousins, friends and his extended family and resident friends at Lakeside.
Predeceased by his mother, Eleanor (residential school survivor), and father Alex Balanyk, a miner, Richard was born in Sudbury ON July 13, 1946 and attended St. Aloysius Elementary School and then Sheridan Technical School.

FRASER, Mary Therese - Passed away on June 12, 2021.
Born in Sea Lake, Victoria, Australia, Mary Fraser took many journeys in a life filled with love and cherished family and friends.
Upon her arrival in Canada in 1958, she first stayed in Calgary and then travelled to the US and Mexico, before coming to Toronto.
Married to Don Fraser in February 1963, they travelled together to many destinations including all over the US, Europe, London, China, Japan, and Indonesia.
Of course, they also made many trips to her homeland of Australia.

FEAVYEAR, Glenn - Passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 in his 90th year.
Son of the late Clara & Glenn A. Feavyear.
Husband of the late Margaret Feavyear.
Survived by daughter Lisa Feavyear and cousin Douglas Sutton of Springfield, IL.
Glenn worked in Tool & Die well into his 70's.
He and his wife loved to travel abroad and enjoyed many cars trips all over Canada and the U.S. where, as an avid photographer, Glenn could take many pictures.

VERNON, Patricia June (nee CORY) - We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our loving mother on June 12, 2021, in her 97th year.
Patricia was born in Belleville, Ontario on March 26, 1925 and moved to Toronto in her early twenties, where she met and married the love of her life, the late Derek Vernon, born in England.
Mom passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Cherished Mother of Gerry, Donna (Bill), Beverlee (Mike) Derek (Berni), amazing and so full of love grandmother to Tamara (Eric), Bradley, Amanda, Samantha, Brittany, Brett, Hunter and Ashtyn and great-grandmother to Christopher, Derek, Bryar and Asher.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents Charles Cory, Marguerite Cory, sister Donna Bryant and great-grandson Isaac. Mom was a member of St. Paul's United Church in Scarborough for several years leaving behind many close friends.

DUFFIELD, Janet Alexine (nee FERGUSON) - Jan passed away peacefully in her sleep, on June 12, 2021.
She was loved so very much by her heartbroken kids, Suzanne Blakeman and Jeff Duffield, and her son-in-law John Blakeman.
Also missing her dearly are her grandchildren Cole and India Blakeman, Stephanie Duffield, and Fitz, the miniature dachshund who could never get enough kisses.
Jan had so many friends from every aspect of her life, who supported her and brightened her days.
She was grateful for all of them, especially Hugh, whom she loved with all her heart.
Jan was born in Stratford, Ontario, in 1939.

DUKACZ, Julian Joseph - Julian passed away peacefully, in Mississauga, on June 12, 2021, after a lengthy illness.
He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn (nee Shields) in 2017.
Born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the son of Antoni and Victoria Dukacz, he will be missed by brothers Albert (Kathryn) of Mississauga, Paul and Stanley (Lynda) of Timmins, and sisters Lucy (Bob) Levinski of Kitchener and Jean in Ottawa.
He will be remembered fondly by nephews Ryan Dukacz, Rick and Mike Levinski (Margie Hogg) and Stephen Dukacz (Lily Sung) and niece Krysha Dukacz (Sean Carey), and by brother-in-law Dan Shields (Pauline Shu).
He also leaves great-nephews Declan Carey and Leo Levinski and great-nieces Charlotte Levinski and Isla Carey.

TILLEY, Douglas Raycraft - It is with sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our dear Doug to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 12, 2021 (78) at Wentworth Lodge Dundas.
Beloved husband of Verna (McPhee/Sears), loving father and step-father to Michelle, Andrew, Jonathan McPhee (Yuka) and Angela McPhee (James).
Doting Grandad to Jolie Rose, Caitlin, Liam, Lena and Ina. Adored brother to Pat McFarland (Stratford Upon Avon, England), and he will be missed by many extended family members.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Fred and Adele (Milhausen), and sister Barbara.
Doug was dearly loved and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed his church, music, books, sports, travel, cooking and spending quality time with his family and friends.

CHARGE, Elizabeth Jean 'Betty' - Elizabeth (Betty) Charge passed away suddenly but peacefully in the early evening of Friday, June 11, 2021, just shy of her 87th birthday.
Having grown up mostly without her father (Thomas), who died shortly after returning from WWII, Betty grew up with her sister Bobbie (d) and mother Eleanor (d) and a bevy of cousins in Fredricton.
After earning her degree at UNB, she entered Queen’s for her masters studies but suspended that when she married and adopted two sons – Dic (Ellen) and Lawrence (James).

De GONZALEZ, Elena 'Nena' Trujillo - Elena “Nena” Trujillo De Gonzalez passed away peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on June 11th, 2021 at the age of 70.
Nena was born on September 10th, 1950 in El Salvador. Leaving behind the love of her life, her husband of 50 years Salvador Gonzalez Bolaños, also her three children Salvador Alberto, Sandra Maria and René Mauricio to whom she was an incredible mother.
Nena also leaves behind 5 beloved grandchildren Anthony, Alexander, Tawnia, Daniel and Nathen who loved her immensely and will miss her terribly. She leaves behing her nephew Fabio Palacios, who will miss her dearly.

Donna was a woman of varied interests and many firsts.
In the early 1960's, she was among the first women to race at Mosport.

Antonio was born in Nazare, Portugal.
He immigrated to Canada in 1970 to better his family’s future. He was a true family man.

SAEGERT, Peter Frederick Maclean - 1937 - 2021 Peter died on June 11, 2021, in Newmarket, ON, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 28, 1937 in Maymyo, Burma (now Pyin U Lwin, Myanmar), the son of Lt. Col John (Jack) M. Saegert and Anne Primrose Fyshe (later Anne Fairlie).
When war broke out and Jack went to fight, Peter and Anne returned to her parents' home in Toronto where Peter went to Brown School.
Jack died in 1946 and Anne was remarried to John Fairlie, and soon Peter was joined by brothers Tam (Alison), David, and Matt (Heather) Fairlie.
