UNDERWOOD, Daniel “Dan, Danny, Gotch, Taz” - It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Dan.

On April 28, 2020, we lost our hero.

Dan was a fiercely loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Among the many things he loved were his gardens, woodworking, drumming, fishing and most importantly his family.  There is/was nothing that he would not do for us.

Dan was the soulmate to his wife Debbie (nee Couper) for more than 28 years and his passing has left an unfillable void in her heart.

He shared his strengths and passions with his sons Couper (20) and Connor (17), leaving them with irreplaceable memories and he will be missed more than words can express.

A devoted son to Marie Wise-Collins to the very end; they shared an unbreakable and special bond for 53 years. Precious son to George Collins and much more than a son-in-law to Jim and Olive Couper. Son to Ivan and Pat Underwood.

Amazing brother to Gerry Underwood, Karren and George Collins. Beloved brother-in-law to Linda McKenna and Sheila Gallant and loved uncle to Sydney, Samantha, Hannah, Daniel, Kennedy, Zachary, Owen, Addison, Isabella, Curtis and Katie.

Heartfelt thanks to all medical staff who made Dan’s treatments feel more like family visits.  Dr. Pandes, Heather, Christina, Imee and Lidia (Oak Ridges), Dr. Babak and nurse Deb (MSH), Dr.’s Singh and Myrehaug (Sunnybrook) and Dr. Cho (Southlake). Dan knew you pulled out all stops in his treatment and he was always so thankful for your efforts.

In lieu of flowers, Dan has requested that donations be made in his name to Lions Camp Dorset (a special camp that allowed Dan to vacation with his family and receive dialysis treatment).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
