MERK, Ursula Charlotte Johanna (nee Wolanski) - (April 26, 1933 – December 15, 2020) - With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom.
She died peacefully at the age of 87 years with her daughters by her side on December 15, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Ursula was the beloved wife of the late Henry Merk (2006) for 48 years.
Proud and loving mother of Karin (Bill), Doris (Ken) and Zina.
Cherished Oma of Sara (Jordan), Eric (Elizabeth), David, Julia (Michael), Jason (Julia), Christopher, Patrick, Drew (Hannah) and Kent. Wonderful Great-Oma of Charlotte, Sophie, Elise, Avalynn and Asher.
Lovingly remembered by her brothers Udo (Mary) and Lutz (Diana) and their families. Mom will be missed by her steadfast, loyal and loving four-legged companion, her dog, Cassie.
Predeceased by her parents Josef and Charlotte and her sister and brother-in-law Renate and Jakob. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
We are grateful to the staff of the Supportive Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their compassion and care. We will miss our Mom's love for her family, her compassion and her kindness for others. Family meant the most to her. Our Mom will always be held close in our hearts.
As per Mom's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date when we can all be together to share loving memories.
